The Munro Mini Articulated Hollower is great for hollowing small to medium sized vessels. Suitable for use with cross grain or parallel grain, the cutter head is fully articulated for undercutting the necks of hollow forms or bowls with an overhanging rim. Adjustment screws are positioned underneath the tool which helps to prevent clogging. It comes supplied with three HSS cutters, which is easily enough for dozens of projects, with a solid carbide cutter available as an optional extra. This carbide cutter will give increased durability especially when turning dry seasoned or knotty timber. Unlike other hollowing tools, when a part of a cutter becomes blunt, it is simply rotated to a new section enabling you to utilise the full 360° of cutting edge. Included with the tool, are a special tool holder to facilitate sharpening the cutter and a 3-in-1 hex key for cutter changes and adjustments. The handle is 445mm (17.1/2") long and the retractable tool shaft is about 340mm (13.1/2") excluding the cutter head. The maximum cutting depth is 200mm (8") - 250mm (10") Minimum opening size 16mm (5/8").
