The new Leigh R9 plus joinery system uses a precision CNC machined template along with new template positioning technology for the fast and accurate routing of through dovetails and box comb joints. The R9 plus can produce three sizes of box comb joint and three sizes of through dovetails, all on boards of any width. Perfect joint fit is guaranteed and repeatable, with the patent pending Leigh e10 guide bush. The real bonus of this system is that you can choose the way you use it. Either use the jig with your router freehand or flip it over and use it on your router table, both methods offer perfect dovetails or box comb joints. The jig simply fits onto your own shop made wooden beam which can be made to any length required. Standard equipment includes: R9 template, three pin plates, two F style clamps, adjustable side stop, hardware for beam assembly, 80-8 dovetail bit (1/2" x 8°), 160 straight bit (1/2" x 1-1/4), 1/2" -8mm collet reducer (172-8) e10 elliptical guidebush for joint fit adjustment and an illustrated user guide. One size of dovetail can be produced using the supplied 80-8 dovetail cutter and two other sizes can be produced by purchasing additional Leigh cutters70-8 and 75-8. Box joints in 3/8", 3/4" and 3/16" sizes can be produced by purchasing cutters of 3/8" and 3/16" diameter. An accessory kit is available containing all the cutters for producing these additional joints. N.B. Some routers may require a suitable guide bush adaptor to enable fitting of the e10 eliptical guidebush, also the Leigh 160 cutter is 1/2" shank
